ValueNotes is now a “Research Partner” for the World BPO/ITO Forum (WBF). The WBF is holding its third conference this year on July 28th and 29th in New Jersey and is titled “IT/BPO Leadership: Creating Value through Strategic Sourcing”. The WBF’s aim is to focus on the sourcing and off-shoring needs of mid to large sized U.S. organizations. This year, the agenda revolves around decision-makers charged with strengthening their organization, improving competitiveness and increasing profit margins in an economy that has undergone significant changes. The event, which is the most influential vendor neutral forum for ITO/BPO convergence, will feature more than 20 sessions along two tracks, designed to show how companies are using BPO/ITO processes and technologies to thrive in a new economic order. The sessions expand on this year’s conference theme, “Thriving in a new economic order: Leveraging the sourcing edge,” and are designed to show the immediate and upcoming trends in souring as well as how companies of all sizes are using these practices to enhance their competitive offerings. Some of the interesting sessions to look forward to include “Raising Sourcing to the Next Level: Integrating ITO & BPO”, where the pro’s and con’s of this approach will be discussed and industry insights and best practices on successfully integrating ITO and BPO will be shared. The CIO Roundtable is titled - ITO /BPO Leadership: Managing Offshoring to Thrive in the “New Normal” – and will talk about how business and IT leaders can leverage offshoring to handle the new economic realities. This session will also examine the core issues and recommend specific ways to align outsourcing with organizational goals for achieving sustainable growth.
