E.On signs five year USD 3.1 billion IT outsourcing deal
Energy company E.On signed a five-year, GBP 2 billion (USD 3.1 billion) contract to receive IT support services through a third-party provider. E.On has kept its technology infrastructure management in-house, but now data centre control, end-user computing and backup systems will be managed off-site. Herfordshire signs USD 310 million outsourcing deal with Serco Hertfordshire County Council signed an eight year, GBP 200 million (USD 310 million) deal with Serco for the provision of a range of front and back office services, including ICT. Hertfordshire hopes the deal will deliver as much as GBP 25 million (USD 38.87 million) annual savings over the period. Birmingham signs USD 466.50 million outsourcing deal with Capita Birmingham City Council has extended and expanded its existing contract with outsourcing company Capita in a deal worth about GBP 300 million (USD 466.50 million). The original contract, delivered through the organisations’ joint venture of Service Birmingham, has been extended to provide ICT and contact centre services by five years to March 2021. IBM signs IT outsourcing deal with Samlink IBM signed a major deal with Finland’s leading supplier of IT banking and related support services, Samlink. Samlink selected IBM to manage the IT infrastructure for the company's more than 400 bank branch offices across Finland. The five-year agreement was signed in November 2010. HCL signs IT infrastructure deal with Purdue Pharma HCL Technologies signed a multi year end-to-end IT Infrastructure Management engagement with Purdue Pharma L.P. The scope of the deal covers management of two data centers and all remote locations of the client in the US. |
