Pangea3 looking to expand in US
Following its acquisition by Thomson Reuters , Pangea3 is eying a U.S. expansion, the company that owns West Publishing. According to Pangea 3 CEO Sanjay Kamlani, the company sought to be acquired by Thomson Reuters partly because of its plan to open offices in the United States. There are still no decisions on locations and headcounts, he said, but the goal is to open legal process outsourcing centers in the U.S. that mirror those in India. He said, “One reason we like it a lot is to offer 24/7 service. We don’t offer 24/7 from India—because we don’t work from shifts but our lawyers have professional work schedules as any other international lawyer does. We couldn’t possibly cover the full business hours of the U.S." Bharti Airtel to award contracts to Ericsson, Nokia Siemens and Huawei Bharti Airtel is set to award telecom infrastructure contracts to Ericsson, Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and Huawei Technologies. The contracts will be spread over five years and will collectively be valued at over USD 3 billion. CSC sells 30% stake in its local business to Amabubesi Capital CSC sold a 30% stake in its local business to empowerment group Amabubesi Capital, for an undisclosed amount. The deal is expected to aid CSC to capture large outsourcing contracts. According to Peter Drube, MD of CSC's South African unit, there are still a few conditions outstanding, but he is confident the deal is in place. IBM extends IT infrastructure deal with Westpac for five more years IBM extended its IT infrastructure deal with Westpac for a further five years. Under the new deal, IBM will hold prime responsibility for the operation of Westpac's key infrastructure services, including data centre, mainframe, midrange, storage, desktop, print and security operations. E.ON AG signs outsourcing deal with T-Systems and HP E.ON AG signed a deal with Deutsche Telekom AG's key account unit T-Systems and Hewlett Packard to outsource parts of its information technology infrastructure. The deal will allow the company to further reduce costs and generate considerable revenue for the two winners of the tender. |
