Walgreen signs outsourcing contract with Genpact
Walgreen signed a business process outsourcing agreement with Genpact. Genpact will provide accounting services to Walgreen and around 500 employees of Walgreen's accounting office in Danville, Ill will transfer to Genpact. Additionally, around 150 employees of Walgreen from its Deerfield center will also shift to Genpact. Dell buys 3PAR Dell acquired a global service provider of highly-virtualized storage solutions, 3PAR. The size of the deal is valued at $1.15 billion. With this acquisition, Dell will increase it expertise in data management and 3PAR will be a part of its storage portfolio. First Source plans to increase its employee strength in UK First Source is panning to employ more people in its Middlesbrough, UK center. The company will hire around 500 professionals in the next two years. Hindjua Global Solutions to opens delivery center Hinduja Global Solutions is opening its second delivery centre in West Bengal, India. This new 220-seater center will offer telecon customer contact center services. This center will be its 30thglobal delivery centre. Currently, the company employees over 16,500 people worldwide. IBM acquires Datacap IBM acquired Datacap Inc, a US based software company. IBM will integrate Datacap into its ECM business, which is part of IBM's Software Solutions Group. IBM will be able to digitize, manage and automate the information assets. NCR Corporation wins outsourcing contract from Barclays Bank NCR Corporation won a two-year IT outsourcing contract from Barclays Bank. As per the contract, NCR Corporation will manage and maintain of part of the UK network of automatic teller machines (ATMs).The contract will be managed from NCR's Eurocentral customer care centre in Lanarkshire. Global Group awards outsourcing contract to Infosys BPO Infoysy BPO won a 20-month IT outsourcing contract from the Global Group. As per the contract, Infosys BPO will set up a shared service center (SSC), provide consulting and implementation services across human resources, finance and accounting, sales and fulfilment, legal services, IT services and sourcing and procurement. |
