Infosys wins outsourcing contract from Turkland Bank
Turkland Bank awarded an IT outsourcing contract to Infosys. As per the contract, Infosys will provide its universal banking solution, Finacle to help the bank perform CRM, e-banking, core banking and treasury services. 'In another development, Infosys has closed down its BPO center in Bangkok. This was as a result of inability to scale up operations. Omnitech plans to open new centers Omnitech Infosolutions is planning to open two new disaster recovery and business continuity (DRBC) centers in NCR and Bangalore, India. The company already has similar centers at Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai. The investment in these centers will be done internally. Fujitsu wins BPO contract from Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Fujitsu won a BPO contract from Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corporation. As per the deal, Fujitsu will provide services for the company's sales management activities, systems maintenance and operations. Unilever renews outsourcing contract with BT Unilever renewed its outsourcing contract with BT for an additional four years. The deal size is worth £144m. BT will provide technology around unified communications, wireless, messaging and supply chain to Unilever's operation centers. UBS awards $580m outsourcing contract to CSC Swiss bank UBS awarded a five-year outsourcing contract to CSC. The size of the deal is estimated to be worth $580m. As per the contract, CSC will provide voice and data network, telecommunication and security services. Harbinger awards $7b outsourcing deal to NSN Harbinger Capital Partners awarded an eight-year IT outsourcing deal to Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN). The deal size is worth $7b. As per the contract, NSN will build 4G wireless network for Harbinger. It will cover 260 million people in the US by 2015. |
