Stream Global Services plans to open new center
Stream Global Services is planning to expand its operations in the Philippines. Stream Global Services will be hiring around 10,000 to 15,000 employees in the next three to five years. The cost of starting the new center will be $20 million.

Apax Partners buys stake of TIVIT
Apax Partners, a private equity firm bought 54 percent stake in TIVIT, an IT and BPO service provider. TIVIT has 16 offices in Brazil and manages around 300 clients which includes financial services providers, manufacturers, public utilities and retailers.

Cognizant acquires PIPC
Cognizant acquired The PIPC Group, a London based global project management consulting firm. PIPC has 200 employees based in the UK, Australia, New Zealand and the US. The size of the deal was not disclosed.

CGI plans to buy Stanley
US-based IT service provider CGI Group acquired Stanley, a US-based defense, military and government IT contractor. The size of the deal is worth $1.07 billion. With this acquisition, CGI will have in total 31,000 employees.

Sutherland to acquire Adventity
Sutherland Global Services, a BPO service provider is rumored to acquire Adventity, a BPO service provider offering financial services. The size of the deal is estimated to be worth $40-$45 million. Adventity has around 4,000 employees.

CSS acquires Glow Networks and InteQ
Cybernet-Slashsupport (CSS) Corporation acquired Glow Networks, a telecommunication service provider and InteQ, a remote infrastructure management company. The size of the deal was not disclosed. With this acquisition, CSS would provide optical networks, deployment, design and operations of 2G, 4G, packet and provide network equipment. CSS will also offer unified communication services design, operations and support.
