CBay acquires Spheris CBay Holdings, a medical transcription company, acquired medical transcription service provider, Spheris. The deal is estimated to be worth $116.3 million. With this acquisition, CBay estimates the revenues to increase to $500 million in this year. Rolls-Royce partners with Tata Consultancy Services Rolls-Royce, the global power systems company, and Tata Consultancy Services, the IT services, business solutions and outsourcing company, signed a global engineering services partnership. As per the partnership agreement, TCS will provide engineering services across the entire product life-cycle of Rolls-Royce. TCS will also support and enable Rolls-Royce to expand its engineering services footprint in India. TCS will open an engineering center in Bangalore. The center will offer design and engineering services. Integra acquires Silver Editions Integra Software Services acquired Silver Editions, a US-based design studio and publishing services company. The deal is estimated to be worth $4 million. This is their second US-based acquisition. Earlier, Integra acquired US-based Elm Street Publishing Services for $2 million in 2008. Additionally, Integra is also planning to hire around 300 people. Patni wins outsourcing contract from Universal American Universal American, a US based health insurance provider, awarded a five-year outsourcing contract to Patni Computer Systems. As per the contract, Patni will provide end-to-end policy administration services to Universal American. Additionally, Patni plans to acquire CHCS Services Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Universal American. Novartis Pharma France awards Recruitment Process Outsourcing contract to KellyOCG Novartis Pharma France awarded a recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) contract to KellyOCG, the Outsourcing and Consulting Group of Kelly Services. As per the contract, KellyOCG will assist Novartis Pharma in recruiting top external talent, including interns and temporary staff, and manage internal job mobility. Customer Operations Performance Center Inc. wins quality process outsourcing contract from Aegis Customer Operations Performance Center Inc, won a two-year quality process contract from Aegis. As per the contract, around 1,000 Aegis employees related to the internal quality assurance process will shift to COPC Inc. Sciformix Corporation receives venture funding Sciformix Corporation, a knowledge process outsourcing service provider for the life sciences industry, completed a 3.3 million Series A round of financing led by Flybridge Capital Partners. With the funding, the company will expand its sales and marketing operations as well as expand its global base. |
