Zensar wins outsourcing contract from Jetstar Airways Zensar Technologies won an IT outsourcing deal from Jetstar Airways, an airline based in Australia and a subsidiary of Qantas. As per the deal, Zensar will provide application development and BPO services. Lantmannen and Scan awards outsourcing contract to Logica Logica won a five-year IT outsourcing contract from Lantmannen and Scan. As per the deal, Logica will offer IT services for 13,000 employees across 18 countries. Logica will provide capacity and operational services, development and management of applications and systems. Capgemini wins procurement outsourcing contract from Kraft Capgemini won a procurement outsourcing contract from Kraft. As per the contract, Capgemini will offer strategic sourcing and spend management services to Kraft. International Paper Company renews HR outsourcing contract with Hewitt Associates International Paper Company, a global paper and packaging company extended HR BPO contract with Hewitt Associates. The deal was signed in 2001and is extended till 2014. As per the contract, Hewitt Associates will provide HR outsourcing services like workforce administration, payroll, recruiting support activities, application support, payroll and help desk services using SAP platform. Hewitt will also provide learning administration, call center and HR manager support activities, and flex staffing management services. Infosys wins outsourcing contract from Microsoft Microsoft awarded an IT outsourcing contract to Infosys. As per the contract, Infosys will provide IT help desk, desk-side services and service IT applications, databases and devices in more than 100 countries. iGATE plans to increase its employee strength iGATE is panning to increase its employee strength by 500 in the next two quarters. The new employees will be recruited in the India, Mexico and US center and will help iGATE expand its operations. The company is also looking for acquisitions ranging between $30-70 million. Quatrro BPO receives $13 million of venture funding Quatrro BPO Solutions received second round of venture funding from Walden International, Olympus Capital and other individual investors. The funding was estimated to be worth $13 million. Quatrro BPO plans to use the fund to drive its organic and inorganic growth strategy. Earlier, Olympus invested $90 million in the first round of funding. Walden invested $8 million in the latest funding to Quatrro. |
