Patni Computer Systems opens new center Patni Computer Systems opened a new center in Texas and Mexico to provide services to customers based in North America and Latin America. The Texas center will specialize on financial services, insurance, technical support and multi-lingual helpdesk services. The center plans to hire 300 employees. In another development, the Mexican center plans to increase the headcount from the current 40 employees to 200 employees by the end of 2010. Genpact wins IT outsourcing contract from Bengal Aerotropolis Projects Genpact won a five-year IT outsourcing contract from Bengal Aerotropolis Projects (BAP). As per the deal, Genpact will provide IT application and infrastructure services model, and design and implement pay-as-you-go business platform. With this acquisition, BAP will be able to move to a cloud-based IT model. Mahindra Satyam wins $48 m IT outsourcing contract deal from KMD Mahindra Satyam won a four-year extension of an IT outsourcing contract from Denmark based IT company, KMD. The deal is estimate to be around $48 million. As per the contract, Mahindra Satyam will continue providing testing, application development, and support services. TCS wins outsourcing contract from Malaysia Airlines and UK Government TCS won a five-year IT outsourcing contract from Malaysia Airlines. As per the contract, TCS will provide IT services to the airline. In another development, TCS won a ten-year IT and BPO contract from the UK government's Personal Accounts Delivery Authority (PADA). The deal is estimated to be worth £600 million and can be extended up to five years. TCS will provide IT services and administer and implement the National Employment Savings Trust (NEST) scheme. Accenture wins IT outsourcing contract from HMRC Accenture won IT outsourcing contract from the UK tax authority, HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). The deal is estimated to be worth £10 million. As per the contract, Accenture will provide new IT strategy for HMRC. Intelenet buys back office operations of FirstGroup Intelenet bought FirstInfo, back office operations of the UK based transport company FirstGroup. The deal is estimated to be worth £45 million. With this acquisition, Intelenet will provide ticket issuing, customer management, and back-office processing across rail franchises including First ScotRail, FirstCapitalConnect and First Great Western. RR Donnelley wins $375 million contract from Cengage Learning RR Donnelley won multi-year outsourcing contract from Cengage Learning. As per the contract, RR Donnelley will provide on demand printing, graphic management services, packaging, college textbook printing, and other services. The deal is estimated to be worth $375 million. |
