Wipro wins IT Outsourcing contract from Punjab and Sind Bank Wipro won a 10 year IT outsourcing contract from India based public sector bank, Punjab and Sind Bank (PSB). As per the contract, Wipro will provide IT infrastructure services and manage data centre, disaster recovery centre and service and support centre of the bank. 3i Infotech to open new center in Nigeria 3i Infotech, a provider of financial technology solutions and services, signed alliance with Nigeria based firm, Soft Solutions, Skye Bank and Unity Bank to open a business process outsourcing center, Process Central, in Nigeria. The center will be operational in four to six months. Playboy to outsource more services Playboy, Chicago based men's magazine, plans to outsource more services. The publisher has already outsourced business functions (except editorial) to American Media while reducing 573 employees. RR Donnelley to buy Bowne & Co R.R. Donnelley & Sons plans to buy Bowne & Co., Inc; a provider of shareholder and marketing communications services. The deal is estimated to be worth $481million (or $11.50 per share). Outsource Partners to increase headcount Outsource Partners International (OPI) plans to hire 1,000 finance and accounting professionals. OPI will employ people for its Bangalore, Delhi, and Kochi offices. Currently, OPI has 3,000 employees in its India offices. TCS wins outsourcing contract from UK Government TCS has won a ten-year outsourcing contract from the UK government. As per the contract, TCS will administer the National Employment Personal Accounts Delivery Authority, a non-departmental public body.. The contract can be extended by an additional five years. |
