Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) buys 47% in CPA Global for GBP 440 million
The investment is believed to boost CPA Global's India operations which has around 700-800 employees working from its Gurgaon and Noida centers. CPA global plans to increase its headcount to around 1,000 by July 2010 in India. CPA will include an ICG representative on its board with rest of the stake held by employees and a few individual shareholders.

Aegis BPO to issue IPO
Essar Group is planning an initial public offer (IPO) for its BPO arm Aegis Global in a bid to raise about Rs 600-Rs 700 crore via the public issue. Industry sources say that Aegis Global has appointed Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and IL&FS as bankers for the IPO.

HCL wins $50 million engineering services contract from Meggitt
HCL Technologies’ Engineering and R&D Services (HCL ERS) will provide engineering services for Meggitt's global operations. Meggitt is an international group specializing in aerospace equipment, high performance sensors, defense training and combat systems. HCL will offer routine engineering activities that don't form the core business of Meggitt.

InterGlobe Technologies (IGT) opens RP hub in Manila via managed facility model

IGT, an Indian pure play call center operator that caters to the travel and transportation industry inaugurated its Manila facility last December using a “managed facility” provided by Anthem Solutions. IGT has made an initial investment of around US $3 million for the 500 seater facility.

ACS call center to hire 225 employees
Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) will hire 225 people to work at its call center in Salt Lake City. The center which already has 425 employees is capable to handle additional 50% growth in manpower according to ACS. Majority of the new employees will handle inbound telephone calls for answering general, billing or troubleshooting queries.
