TCS wins $50 million outsourcing contract
TCS won a $50 million outsourcing contract in the platform-based business process outsourcing unit. The details of the deal is not disclosed. Currently, TCS has seven platform-based offerings in its BPO unit. They are finance and accounting, HR and payroll, procurement, reconciliations, analytics, payments and life and pension.
CIBER wins outsourcing contract from NASA
CIBER won a five-year IT outsourcing contract from National Aeronautical and Space Administration (NASA). As per the contract, CIBER will provide IT services and shift its 60 employees. Additionally, CIBER will partner with Dynetics to provide IT services to NASA.
IBM and Convergys forms partnership alliance
IBM and Converges signed an outsourcing contract to provide customer service and data accuracy services for 2010 US census. As per the deal, Convergys’ employees will call people who have submitted incomplete or inaccurate census questionnaires.
HCL BPO to increase its employee strength
HCL BPO is planning to hire around 300 employees in its media outsourcing division. The company currently employs around 300 employees and plans to double the headcount in the 12-18 months.
Percana bags outsourcing contract from Pearl
Ireland based company, Percana Group won a eleven-year outsourcing
contract from UK based, Pearl Group. As per the contract, Percana will
provide full administration of Pearl’s Irish L&P business. As per
the contract, Pearl’s 110 employees will be transferred to Percana.
