ADP acquires DO2 Technologies ADP, a provider of outsourced HR, payroll, and benefits administration services, acquired electronic-invoicing solutions provider, DO2 Technologies Inc. DO2 Technologies will offer procure-to-pay services such as purchase order integration, discount management, price compliance, transaction processing, approvals workflow and payment. These services will be delivered through SaaS model to ADP. Nokia awards outsourcing contract to HCL Technologies Nokia awarded a five-year outsourcing contract to HCL Technologies. As per the contract, HCL Technologies will provide desktop management and help desk functions in 76 countries. The contract includes global account management, multilingual helpdesk services in 13 languages, creation and maintenance, workstation security management, workstation packaging and onsite support services delivered by partners. Additionally, HCL opened new center in Finland. This center will employ 100 people and offer nearshore services in the Nordic and Baltic regions. Walgreens awards outsourcing contract to Genpact Walgreens, a drugstore chain based in US, awarded a ten-year outsourcing contract to Genpact. Genpact will provide accounting services to Walgreens. Additionally, Genpact will acquire Walgreens's Danville center. This center currently employs 500 employees and further plans to hire 300 employees in the next three years. Capgemini wins outsourcing deal from U.S. Army Capgemini Government Solutions LLC bagged a five-year outsourcing deal from the U.S. Army. The deal is estimated to be worth $88 m. As per the deal, Capgemini will provide Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) support services for the organization responsible for providing infrastructure and information management systems to the Army, Program Executive Office Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS). Also, Capgemini will support the U.S. Army’s five ERP programs. IBM to increase employee strength IBM plans to increase its employees strengths by hiring 5,000 employees for its BPO operation in 2010.IBM has BPO operation based in Mumbai, Hyderabad, Pune, Gurgaon and Kolkata. Recently, IBM won outsourcing contracts from domestic companies like state-run Telecommunications Consultants, Madhav Nagrik Sahakari Cooperative Bank in Rajasthan and Sardar Bhiladwala Pardi People's Cooperative Bank in Gujarat. HCL Technologies forms strategic alliance with Talisma HCL Technologies BPO Services formed strategic partnership with Talisma Corporation. With this partnership, HCL and Talisma will provide BPO and CRM services to clients. Talisma will provide CRM applications whereas HCL will offer customized, user-based services. |
