IBM wins outsourcing deal from Navistar and Maersk IBM won a seven-year contract from US based manufacturing company, Navistar. As per the deal, IBM will provide IT services like server and storage management, data center relocation and database management services. In another agreement, A.P. Moller-Maersk renewed its IT services contract with IBM. The contract has been extended till 2014. AstraZeneca awards outsourcing contract to Genpact AstraZeneca awarded a five-year outsourcing contract to Genpact. As per the contract, Genpact will provide Finance & Accounting (F&A) services to AstraZeneca. It will deliver services to over 50 countries. Genpact's employees will work in partnership with AstraZeneca's financial team. Integreon expands operation in London Integreon expanded its operation in Bristol, London. This center will support onsite requirements to all its offices based in London. Integreon will also start providing shared information services like legal and business research, central inquiries desk, information supplier management and purchasing, hard copy and journal management and law library services to law firms and corporate legal departments. MphasiS to open new center in Sri Lanka Mphasis plans to open a new center in Sri Lanka by the middle of 2010. The new center will provide application management, ITO and BPO services. This center will employ around 2,000 people. Currently, Mphasis has centers in Australia, India, China, Singapore, Japan, Europe and North America and it employs around 34,000 people. Motif opens new center in Costa Rica Motif, a US based business and knowledge process outsourcing company opened a new delivery center in Costa Rica. The new 500-seat center will hire around 1,000 employees. This center will provide bilingual support in English and Spanish. In another development, Motif is planning to shift to an IT SEZ in Ahmedabad and employ 1, 000 people. |
