Mahindra Satyam opens new center in Malaysia Mahindra Satyam opened its new ‘Global Solution Centre’ (GSC) operations in Malaysia. The new 1,100 seat center will focus on BPO and technology functions like ‘Remote Infrastructure Management Outsourcing’, software testing and software services. CSC bags outsourcing contract from Zurich Financial Services CSC bagged a 10.5 year outsourcing contract from Zurich Financial Services. The deal is estimated to be worth $2.9 b. As part of the deal, around 1,000 employees of Zurich Financial Services will shift to CSC. CSC will provide datacentre and IT services. Wipro opens new center in China Wipro Technologies opened a new center in China. The new center will have a capacity of 1,000 seats. The center will provide BPO and IT services such as Testing and Enterprise Application services for the Manufacturing, Banking, Financial Services and Insurance industries. WNS wins outsourcing contract from Chiquita Brands International WNS won a multi-year outsourcing contract from Chiquita Brands International. As per the contract, WNS will provide finance and accounting services to Chiquita's units in North America, Europe and Latin America. WNS further plans to partner with Chiquita that will enable WNS to expand its business operations in Latin America. London School of Economics awards contract to iomart London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) awarded an IT outsourcing contract to iomart Hosting. As per the deal, iomart Hosting will provide a hardware platform which will support LSE’s website on secure servers located away from its London campus. Trianz Inc and Vee Technologies signs strategic partnership Trianz Inc and Vee Technologies signed partnership agreement to form a new financial services BPO. This partnership will help Trianz expand its operation from sales to financial operations. Tech Mahindra opens new center in Philippines Tech Mahindra opened a new BPO center in the Philippines. This new center will be Tech Mahindra's third offshore center after Northern Ireland and the UK. |
