Convergys to increase its employee strength
Convergys plans to employ 4,500 employees in its Philippines based contact centers. Currently, the company has 18,000 employees in the 12 centers in Philippines. Convergys provides support and advanced technical helpdesk services from these centers.
WNS opens delivery center in Costa Rica
WNS entered the Latin American market by opening a new delivery center in Costa Rica. The new center will provide customer service, finance and accounting and research and analytics services in English and Spanish.
HCL Technologies wins contract from Equitable Life Assurance Society
Equitable Life Assurance Society, a UK based insurance company awarded a $200 m contract to HCL Technologies. As per the deal, HCL will provide call center services, policy administration, finance and IT operational support. With this contract Equitable Life expects to cut costs by $13 m (approx) in the first year.
Tech Mahindra bags IT outsourcing contract from STel
Tech Mahindra won a five year IT outsourcing contract from STel. As per the contract, Tech Mahindra will manage the business and operational support systems of STel. This contract is based on ‘pay as you go’ model according to which the service provider will charge a fee as and when the services are offered.
Greenlight Technologies signs partnership agreement with Logica
Greenlight Technologies signed an agreement with the consulting division of Logica, Logica Management Consulting. As per the agreement, Logica will use Greenlight’s software products for SAP and other customers in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
Infosys to drive out auto engineering business
Infosys Technologies plans to drive out auto engineering business as this industry has become highly commoditized due to high level of competition. Within engineering services, the company plans to focus on aerospace, energy generation, hi-tech, heavy engineering, medical and apparel segments.
