EXL acquires American Express Business Travel EXL acquired the back office operations of American Express Business Travel (AEBT). The deal is estimated to be worth $30 m. This acquisition will help EXL build its expertise in exception processing, analytics and transaction processing. In addition to this, EXL signed an eight year contract to set up the back office operations of American Express Business Travel (AEBT). IBM wins outsourcing contract from Chugoku Bank IBM won a nine year outsourcing contract from Japanese bank, Chugoku Bank. As per the contract, IBM will operate maintain the Bank’s information technology (IT) systems. NorthgateArinso acquires CIAN NorthgateArinso, a UK based HR software and solutions provider, acquired CIAN, a part of Randstad HR Services. CIAN has around 103 employees. With this acquisition, NorthgateArinso will develop its expertise as a provider of HR outsourcing services. Infosys BPO to open rural BPO centers Infosys BPO plans to open rural BPO centers in 22 districts of Andhra Pradesh. Infosys will hire around 1500-2000 employees in these centers. In another development, Infosys BPO plans to set up a new delivery center in the United States by the end of 2009. Integreon buys Grail Research Integreon bought out Grail Research, the captive research unit of the Monitor group. With this acquisition, Integreon will have a delivery center in China and South Africa. As part of this acquisition, Integreon will get a five year revenue commitment from the Monitor group. |
