Infosys to set up rural BPO centers in AP
The Andhra Pradesh government has signed an MOU with Infosys BPO Limited to open 22 rural BPO centers in various districts of the state. The first BPO center will be set up in the next six weeks which will be the pilot model for the remaining centers. The rural BPO will employ around 1000 people in the next 12-15 months.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam signs $190 m IT outsourcing contract with HCL Infosystems
HCL Infosystems won an IT outsourcing contract which is a part of the BSNL’s 93 m lines GSM project worth over $1 b. As per the contract, HCL will provide software solutions to BSNL's western zone.

Sagemcom awards $59 m IT outsourcing contract to Orange Business Services
Sagemcom, a French technology company signed a contract with France Telecoms Enterprise business unit Orange Business Services to provide third party application maintenance user support telephony services. The 4-year contract is valued at $59 m. The company's data centers, located in Paris, will host and support the data as well as applications, and manage SAP ERP Application Maintenance and data network.

Logica opens a new innovation center
Logica has set up a new innovation center at Chennai. This is the company's second Spark innovation center in India and the fifth in the global Spark series. This new center will focus on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS).

Wipro bags IT outsourcing contract
Wipro has won a 10-year outsourcing contract from Delhi International Airport (DIAL). As per the contract, Wipro will build networks, software applications, and security systems at the terminal number three of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi.

Lloyds plans to acquire outsourcing firm CPA Global
Lloyds Banking Group's private equity unit LDC plans to buy CPA Global for $666 m. CPA Global, a legal process outsourcing company specializes in general legal and intellectual property support services.
