Advance Therapeutics signs up Aristos Erevna to provide pharmaceutical market research
Advance Therapeutics Limited has awarded a market research contract to Aristos Erevna. The financial details and tenure of the contract have not been disclosed. Aristos will design and formulate market survey based brand strategies to help increase revenues and strengthen the company’s market position.

Accenture bags outsourcing contract from Fiat
Fiat has signed a contract with Accenture to consolidate its IT framework. As per the contract, Accenture will assist in the administrative, human resources and finance activities of Fiat. The financial details and tenure of the contract have not been disclosed.

Cognizant acquires UBS captive for USD 75m
Cognizant has acquired UBS India Service Centre (UBS ISC), a captive of UBS, a Swiss financial firm, for USD 75m. ISC specializes in BPO services which include securities operations, compliance, finance, presentations & design. In addition, ISC provides research and analytics and IT infrastructure management services.

Aoyuan Electronic signs an outsourcing contract with China Crescent
China-based Aoyuan Electronic Co. Ltd. has signed a three-year outsourcing contract with China Crescent Enterprises, Inc. valued at USD 36 m. As per the contract, China Crescent will provide technology outsourcing services.

GSA signs IT outsourcing contract with CGI
U. S. General Services Administration (GSA) has signed an outsourcing contract with CGI Federal to provide data center hosting and application management services for its Integrated Financial System (IFS). The five-year contract is valued at USD 32m.

Canon eyes outsourcing firms
Canon is looking to enter the BPO market through acquisitions. Following footsteps of Xerox which recently acquired ACS, Canon is scouting suitable businesses in Asia. According to Alan Chng, South and Southeast Asia vice president of Canon's business imaging solutions the company intends to acquire similar to its rivals in order to gain entry to the BPO market.
