NHS Hounslow awards £3.3 m IT outsourcing contract to Capita NHS Hounslow awarded IT outsourcing deal worth £3.3 m to Capita. As per the deal, Capita will provide end user services, network and infrastructure management, infrastructure hosting, security management and syndicated disaster recover provision. Capita will offer IT services across 71 locations for 1,200 users of NHS Hounslow. Dell to buy Perot Dell, US based technology and services provider is planning to acquire Perot Systems, US based IT service provider for $3.9 b. With this acquisition, Dell will be able to provide broad range of IT services. In another development, Perot won a ten year IT outsourcing contract worth $18 m from Max Healthcare. As per the deal, Perot will offer data hosting, infrastructure management and support, help desk support, project management support, and implementation and clinical adoption of an EHR system. MTNL awards GSM call center contract to Caretel MTNL awarded a two year GSM call center contract to Caretel. As per the contract, Caretel will provide multi-lingual voice and data support to MTNL’s customers. Wipro expands operation in UK Wipro Technologies has opened a new center in London (UK) and expanded its development center in Reading (UK). The new center in London will be the headquarter for the company’s UK operations and focus on sales and marketing. HGSL to set up delivery center in Manila Hinduja Global Solutions (HGSL) is opening a new center in Manila. HGSL will have around 1,000 seats in its new center thus increasing its capacity to 3,150 seats in the Philippines. HCL bags IT outsourcing contract from Energy Future Holdings HCL Technologies bagged a five year IT outsourcing contract from US based energy company, Energy Future Holdings (EFH). As per the contract, HCL will provide data center services, IT Infrastructure, end-user computing services, voice and data networks and desk-side support services.
