CSC wins IT contract from the US Department of Agriculture
CSC won an IT contract from the US Department of Agriculture at an estimated value of $30 m. As per the contract, CSC will provide cyber security measures to US Department of Agriculture. These services include responding to attacks against agency resources, identifying security vulnerabilities and implementing corrective action.
Aegis acquires UCMS Group
Aegis has completed its acquisition of Australian outsourcing company, UCMS Group for AUD 54 m. The company further plans to hire around 2,000 employees in its new Australian unit.
ExlService plans for acquisition
ExlService Holdings is planning to acquire a company in the financial services sector. The company will invest around $50 m to $75 m in acquiring companies that provide services to industries such as utilities, insurance and banking and finance.
Nalanda Capital plans to sell its stake
Singapore based hedge fund, Nalanda Capital, plans to sell its 12.3% stake in WNS. Nalanda was the third largest shareholder in WNS after Warburg Pincus and Fidelity Management & Research.
e.AXS Communications opens a contact center in Zamboanga
Filipino outsourcing company, e.AXS Communications has opened its first ICT contact center in Zamboanga. The new center has a seating capacity of 50 seats and will provide inbound and outbound sales and back-office operations.
MphasiS plans to acquire AIG's IT services unit
MphasiS is planning to acquire India based captive IT services unit of American International Group, AIG Systems Solutions Private Ltd. AIG Systems Solutions has around 800 employees across Chennai and Kolkata.
