HCL buys US data center HCL Technologies bought a data center in New Jersey, US. The new 35,000 sq. ft. data center is the company’s first center in the US. HCL invested $15 m to support cloud computing, business continuity, eco-friendly technologies, mainframe management and virtualization in this center. HCL already has around 5,000 employees in the U.S. BNY Mellon wins outsourcing contract from Mesirow Financial Securities service provider, BNY Mellon Asset Servicing won an outsourcing contract from Chicago based Mesirow Financial. As per the contract, BNY Mellon will offer custodian reconciliation, account opening and maintenance transaction support and performance measurement services to Mesirow Financial. Softtek opens a new center in China Softtek, an outsourcing and IT service provider, opened a new global delivery center in Wuxi (China) in partnership with the government of China and the Jiangsu province. The new 200 seat facility is Softtek‘s second center in China. American Express to sell its Indian BPO unit American Express is selling a part of its India based captive center. The center provided travel-related services, customer care, accounting, credit cards and related processes. AmEx employed around 7,000 people in India. Infosys BPO bags outsourcing contract from T-Mobile UK Infosys BPO bagged a five year outsourcing contract from T-Mobile UK. As per the deal, Infosys BPO will provide commercial finance and accounting, customer finance and procurement operations services to T-Mobile UK. Hinduja Global Solutions opens a new center in Philippines Hinduja Global Solutions (HGSL) opened a new center in Manila, Philippines. The new 1,000-seater facility is HGSL’s second center in the Philippines. The company currently has 1,928 employees in Philippines. HGSL further plans to open a new center in New Delhi and Latin America. |
