Sistema awards CRM contract to Tata Communications
Sistema Shyam TeleServices (SSTL) signed a contract with Tata Communications. As per the contract, Tata Communications will set up and manage the contact centre services for all SSTL circles across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan, Kolkata, West Bengal and Bihar.

Intelenet wins $300 m contract from a US healthcare company
Intelenet was signed by a US healthcare company for providing back office services. The seven year contract is valued at $300 m. The back office services to be provided by Intelenet will include raising invoices, contacting patients and hospitals and inbound voice services.

Aegis acquires CCN group, expands presence to South Africa

Aegis, a part of the Essar group, has acquired a South African contact centre outsourcing company, CCN group. With this acquisition, Aegis will expand its operations to South Africa with two delivery centers and over 1,000 employees. CCN has revenues in excess of Rs. 150 m ($19 m) for FY 2008-09 with significant revenues from clients located in the UK.

Schneider Logistics awards a multi-year outsourcing contract to ExlService
Schneider Logistics has signed an outsourcing contract with ExlService Holdings, Inc. (EXL), a provider of outsourcing and transformation services. As part of the agreement, 200 employees of Schneider will be shifted to EXL. EXL through its delivery centre in Olomouc, Czech Republic will provide services to Schneider Logistics customers.

Intel awards a $10 m pilot outsourcing contract to Infosys Technologies
Infosys wins a pilot outsourcing contract valued at $10 m from Intel. This contract could evolve into a $100 m engagement for Infosys. This pilot will also help Infosys to target other customers such as British Petroleum and Telstra.

MphasiS and Singularity form a strategic alliance
MphasiS has entered a strategic alliance with Singularity to leverage Singularity’s business process management (BPM) technology to assist clients in automating complex business processes across sectors.
