British Telecom awards outsourcing contract to Tata Communications BT Group awarded a five year outsourcing contract to Tata Communications. As per the contract, Tata Communications will supply International Direct Dial (IDD) and voice termination services to British Telecom. Aegis plans to increase its employee strength Aegis is planning to employ 1,000 people in its US office. The company will hire 700 employees in Texas and 300 employees in Arizona center. These employees will provide services for a leading healthcare provider in the US. Expanding in the Philippines Tata Group plans to open a new center in the Philippines. The new center will have a capacity of around 300 seats. Another BPO service provider, NCO Group also opened a new delivery center in Marikina (Philippines). The new 650 seats center is the company's fourth center in the Philippines. Oracle to open a new center in Egypt Oracle plans to set up a new center in Egypt. This new center will hire 250 professionals and provide services such as software application packages, solution development, data warehouse, technical designs, testing and technical support and security system applications. ExlService is looking for acquisitions ExlService Holdings plans to buy companies in the Eastern Europe. This acquisition will be a part of the company's expansion plan. This acquisition will be completed by Dec 2009. The company further plans to expand the financial and insurance services in Europe. CSC awards outsourcing contract to Steria CSC awarded an outsourcing contract which is a part of the government contract with the UK Identity and Passport Service (IPS) to Steria. As per the contract, Steria will manage passport application such as data verification and validation processes. |
