CSC bags IT contract from UKAEA and CNPA CSC won a five year IT outsourcing contract worth £31 m from UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and Civil Nuclear Police Authority (CNPA). As per the contract, CSC will offer infrastructure services, applications management and database administration. UKAEA will shift its IT employees to CSC. Softpro Systems buys out Cura Risk Management Software India based Softpro Systems acquired 100% stake in Cura Risk Management Software, a South African IT company for $19 m. HDFC buys 26% stake in RuralShores Business Services HDFC, a financial services company, has bought 26% stake in RuralShores Business Services, a Bangalore based rural BPO. RuralShores has centers in Bagepalli and Ratnagiri in Tamil Nadu. Logica wins IT contract from Airbus Logica won a three year outsourcing contract from Airbus, an aircraft manufacturer. As per the contract, Logica will provide IT applications, application development and management solutions to Airbus. In addition to this, Logica will also develop and improve Airbus’ software. Genpact partners with Royal Government of Bhutan Genpact signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Royal Government of Bhutan. As per the agreement, Genpact will train the local people in voice, financial and IT Services and thereby assist in the growth and development of the IT-ITeS industry. However, Genpact also aims to set up a new center in Bhutan by 2011. Mindcrest to increase employees Mindcrest, a legal services outsourcing provider, is planning to employ 350 people by 2009. Currently, the company employs 650 professionals. The company further intends to double its attorney strength in the US. |
