Lam Research outsources financial services to IBM
Lam Research, a provider of wafer fabrication equipment and services, awarded a seven year financial services contract worth $11.3 m to IBM. This contract is an extension of an already existing contract signed in 2002. As per the contract, IBM will provide system invoicing, general accounting, cash receipt applications, payroll administration, accounts payable and account reconciliation services.

International Olympic Committee renews IT contract with Atos Origin

International Olympic Committee (IOC) renewed IT contract with Atos Origin by four years. The contract is estimated to be worth $80 -100 m. As per the contract, Atos Origin will offer IT systems for Olympic Games.

Infosys plans to increase its employee strength
Infosys plans to increase its employees in its US center by 1,000 within 12 to 18 months. Infosys currently employs total of 14,000 people in the US.

HCL Technologies wins IT contract from MTV Networks
MTV Networks awarded an IT contract to HCL Technologies. As per the contract, HCL will provide platform services such as social networking platform development, site development, media player development, games development, and application and data platform support and development. The services will be provided from the HCL's development center in Chennai and the user interface design from Noida.

Ugam opens new center in Tamil Nadu

Ugam Solutions, a market research outsourcing company, opened a new center in Tamil Nadu (India). Ugam intends to employ 400 people in this center in a period of two years. This center will provide market research outsourcing, online marketing services and analytics.

724Care BPO opens new delivery center in Philippines
724Care BPO, a Philippines based call center opened a new delivery center in Cebu. The new center 100 seater facility will provide voice and data services to the US clients.
