StarTek plans to increase its employee’s strength StarTek, a Colorado-based BPO provider, plans to increase its employee strength by 400 in its Makati center in the Philippines. The center, which started operations in early 2009, provides back-office operations, including customer care, sales support, complex order processing, accounts receivable management, and technical support services. WNS Philippines expands its BPO operation in Philippines WNS Philippines invested $4 m to set up new a 500-seater facility in Cubao (Quezon City).The facility will start operations from May 2009.and will provide inbound and outbound call center services, order and sales verification, payment reminders and call collection, customer win-back subscriber reactivation, and account servicing. FirstSource plans to expand its operation in Northern Ireland FirstSource Solutions received an investment of ₤6.7 m from Invest NI, Northern Ireland Government economic development organization, to expand its Londonderry center in Northern Ireland. The company intends to hire an additional 300 people to its existing 530 people employed in the Londonderry center. Centrica extends outsourcing contract with EXLService Centrica extended its outsourcing contract with EXLService by three years. As per the contract, EXL will provide back office processes, debt management and analytics to Centrica. Xerox awards IT outsourcing contract to HCL Xerox awarded a six-year IT outsourcing contract worth $100 m to HCL Technologies. As per the contract, HCL Technologies will provide disaster recovery, data centre hosting and migration, virtualization and consolidation across Xerox’s data centers in North America and Europe. HCL will also centralize and standardize the data centre infrastructure for Xerox. |
