RSA extends outsourcing contract with Accenture
UK based insurance group RSA (formerly Royal & Sun Alliance) has extended its BPO contract with Accenture by two years. As per the contract, Accenture will continue to provide frontline customer service and back office administration services. The services include sales, service, claims and customer accounting functions for RSA clients.

Cybernet Slashsupport opens call center in Philippines
The US-based technology support provider Cybernet Slashsupport has opened its first call center facility in Taguig City in the Philippines. The company has invested $2 m to set up the 291 seats facility. Cybernet will start operations with fifty technical support employees and then add another fifty in the next two months.

ESIC awards IT outsourcing contract to Wipro Infotech
Wipro Infotech has been awarded Rs. 11.82 b e-governance contract from Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). As per the contract, Wipro will provide online facilities to employers and insured people for registration, payment of premium and disbursement of cash benefits. Initially the company will develop a hospital management system, set up the IT infrastructure, network, bandwidth, data and disaster recovery centre for the project and then administer it.

HCL wins $350 m IT outsourcing contract from Reader’s Digest
The Reader’s Digest Association has awarded an IT outsourcing contract to HCL Technologies. The seven year contract is valued at $350 m. As per the contract, HCL will manage the IT infrastructure, application development and other IT services of Reader’s Digest to be carried out in 45 countries and 14 languages. The HCL delivery centers in Poland, the US and India will support the contract.

ACS to acquire e-Services Group International
ACS plans to acquire Caribbean-based e-Services Group International, a BPO company with 4,000 employees in Jamaica and St. Lucia. With this acquisition, ACS will have a global delivery center to cater to its North American clients.
