Bupa extends its contract with Patni for managed services
A healthcare organization, Bupa has extended its managed service contract with Patni Computer for three years. As per the contract, a 40-man technical team based in the UK and India will manage and support its core business applications, which include PeopleSoft, business intelligence reporting applications, web applications and a second phase of business intelligence tools.

Tech Mahindra to set up a call centre in Britain
Tech Mahindra will be opening a call centre at Jarrow, South Tyneside to focus on providing government sector services. It will provide application development, support and BPO services to this sector. This centre plans to recruit 500 people in the next three years. The company has five contact centers in Milton Keynes, Belfast and London.

MindTree to offer consulting in the RPO services
MindTree Ltd that started a RPO a year ago plans to add consulting in its existing job process outsourcing services. MindTree intends to target multinationals with captive centers in India in the IT sector.

Air New Zealand awards $50 m outsourcing contract to Axon Group
Air New Zealand signed a 5-year IT contract with Axon Group worth $50 m. As per the contract, the company will provide support services to the airline's 7,500 desktops, 350 servers and 800 packaged applications and SQL databases.

Prestige International opens a contact center in Hong Kong
Singapore-based Prestige International plans to set up a contact center in downtown Hong Kong. This centre will provide multilingual customer interactions and global connectivity with companies servicing financial services, insurance and luxury goods markets. These BPO and CRM solutions will be offered to its US clients.

Fair Isaac Corporation signs outsourcing agreement with Infosys
Fair Isaac Corporation signs an IT outsourcing agreement with Infosys. As per the agreement, the company will provide services to develop Fair Isaac’s delivery methodology and integration network.

Océ awards IT outsourcing contract to Atos Origin
Océ has signed a 7-year contract with Atos Origin to provide IT support for its European sales companies. As per the contract, the company will mange 6,000 workplaces and all local applications in Océ’s sales companies and provide network, server, LAN management and telephone network management services to the European region. Océ will also transfer 65 employees to the company.

OMV signs an IT outsourcing contract with Fujitsu Siemens
OMV AG based in central Europe has signed an IT infrastructure contract with Fujitsu Siemens Computers. As per the contract, the company will manage OMV’s systems across 30 European countries.
