HOV Services sets up a delivery center in China HOV Services plans to open a delivery centre to expand its operations in Xian, China. The facility will deliver end-to-end BPO and KPO solutions. The facility being close to universities is expected to help in tapping talent. SPi Publishing appoints Sales Director for the European region SPi Publishing, a subsidiary of the Philippine Long Distance Telephone Company, has appointed Peter Rogers as Director of Sales to expand its market presence across Europe. Rogers has over twelve years of experience in the STM, Legal, and Educational Publishing markets. APAC to set up a new BPO center in Philippines APAC Customer Service plans to expand the Philippines operations by establishing a BPO facility by 2009. The company plans to invest $2 m in the center with 500 seat capacity. The External Affairs ministry of India has awarded a 6 - year contract to TCS Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has won a six year contract worth INR 10 b from the External Affairs ministry to implement the Passport Seva Project. As per the deal, the company will set up a data center, disaster recovery center and enable networking between all 77 passport offices. In addition, it will set up a network connecting the police with the passport offices as well as set up a call center. CA to expand its India Technology Centre (ITC) CA an IT management firm plans to invest $30 m to build a new facility for its India Technology Centre. The ITC campus currently has 1600 employees and the new facility will house an additional 1000 seats and would be completed by 2010. Intelenet evaluating opportunities in other segments Intelenet is tapping new opportunities to grow in the domestic market. It plans to diversify into legal process outsourcing, education and HR outsourcing. |
