EDS wins seven-year outsourcing contract from Caixa Galicia EDS has won a seven-year outsourcing contract from Caixa Galicia. As per the contract, EDS will acquire Caixa Galicia's in-house subsidiary, Servicios Telefónicos Back-Office Avanzados and around 250 employees working in the subsidiary. It will offer telephone banking and back office banking services to Caixa Galicia customers. Tricom India acquires Pacific Data Centers Tricom India through its US subsidiary Tricom Document Management has acquired 100% stake in Pacific Data Centers (PDC) for $2.25 m. PDC which offers a range of administrative services will become a unit of the Tricom group, but will retain its brand name and identity. Tricom has also completed the acquisition of Godrej Global Solutions. Sun Life Finance optimistic on Asia, to make Philippines its BPO hub Sun Life Finance plans to invest in Asia. The company foresees new opportunities in Philippines and plans to make the region its BPO hub. They plan to start operations in Philippines in 2008 depending upon regulatory approvals. Sutherland wins outsourcing contract from Jamba Sutherland Global Services has signed an outsourcing contract with Jamba, a mobile entertainment brand. Sutherland will handle billing queries and provide product usage support, contract extensions as well as technical support services to Jamba's customers. HCL technologies among preferred suppliers of EADS HCL Technologies has been selected by EADS as a preferred supplier of technical publication and product engineering services. HCL will offer services from its unit in Bangalore. EADS has selected 28 suppliers for providing engineering services.
