BT group signs 7-year outsourcing deal with Nationwide Building Society BT Group has won a 7-year outsourcing contract worth $319 m (GBP 160 m) from Nationwide Building Society, a mortgage vendor based in the UK. As per the contract, Nationwide will transfer all voice and third party network and data-networking infrastructure contracts to BT. Xchanging offers $250m for Cambridge Solutions Xchanging made an offer of around $250 m to acquire Cambridge Solutions. The company is offering $1.9 (Rs 82) per share, estimating the worth of Cambridge at around $230 m to $250 m. However, the promoters and shareholders of Cambridge have not arrived at a consensus. Citigroup likely to sell its BPO units to IBM Citigroup is restructuring its back office operations in India. The company plans to sell Citigroup Global Services its captive BPO unit and Citos its technology and infrastructure-outsourcing unit. The company is close to signing a deal with IBM Global Services. Capgemini and TCS are the other two parties interested in the buyout. The deal is likely to be around $800 m. Quattro and D.E. Shaw Group acquire majority stake in Babel Quattro and D.E. Shaw Group have acquired a majority stake in Babel, a video game outsourcing company. Babel is based in England and has a headcount of 500. The two companies intend to further invest in order to expand Babel's operations. Satyam and Sciformix co-operate to offer data management services in Pharmacovigilance Satyam Computer Services entered an alliance with Sciformix Corporation, a life science KPO vendor to offer data management services in Pharmacovigilance. The two companies will use a global delivery model to offer safety management services ranging from case intake to international regulatory reporting. |
