WNS acquires Business Applications Associates IBM WNS has acquired Business Applications Associates (BizAps), a SAP solutions provider. BizAps offers SAP optimization and certified solutions design services. However, the deal value was not disclosed. TeleTech expands service contract with leading financial firm TeleTech Holdings has expanded its multiyear contract with a Fortune 200 financial services provider. As per the contract, TeleTech will offer business process support services like statement inquiries, credit limit increases, address changes, billing disputes and balance transfers. Aditya Birla Minacs plans to acquire captive units of financial firms Aditya Birla Minacs Worldwide Ltd plans to invest $150 m to acquire firms offering specialized financial services like credit risk analysis, asset management among others. It is targeting captive units of financial firms for acquisition. The company aims to achieve a turnover of $1 b by 2010 and intends to achieve a large part of it through buyouts. Spanco BPO Ventures forms JV with MRS Inc Spanco BPO Ventures Ltd has formed a joint venture with MRS Inc, USA. The JV called MRS BPO LLC will offer call center and back-office services. Datacraft to invest up to $10 m for acquisitions in India Datacraft has earmarked $40 m for acquisitions in Asia of which $5 m to $10 m will be invested for acquisitions in India. Datacraft India is looking to acquire firms operating in the BPO, security and data center space. SS&C Technologies gets multi year BPO contract from GMIM SS&C Technologies has won an outsourcing contract from General Motors Investment Management Corporation. The multi-year contract worth $20 m is for middle and back office administration functions. SS&C Direct will offer investment management process outsourcing services like portfolio accounting, trade processing and reporting services. CPA Global targets 25% to 30% share in the Indian LPO segment Global plans to expand operations in India. The company aims for a 25% to 30% share in the Indian LPO space in the coming years and intends to start new offices across the country. CPA has 350 employees in India and 1,100 globally. The company expects to increase its total headcount to 10,000 by 2015. Australian Tax Office specifies requirements for its centralized computing contract The Australian Tax Office has outlined the requirements for its centralized computing contract worth $150 m (AUD160 m) per year and around $0.95 b (AUD1 b) for a 5-year tenure. The contact is for mainframe, mid-range and data warehousing infrastructure. EDS is currently offering these services under a contract, which will expire in 2010. |
