PreMedia Global acquires GGS Book Services
Publishing BPO vendor, PreMedia Global (PMG) has acquired US based firm GGS Book Services. GGS has a headcount of 300 globally and a turnover of $20 m. The acquisition price was not disclosed. The two firms will operate independently while the CGS brand and logo would be used by PMG. 
   
Affiliated Computer Services gets outsourcing contract from CAQH 
Affiliated Computer Services has won a BPO, ITO and customer care services contract from Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH). ACS will integrate its document and CRM systems with web application to support CAQH's online service. 
    
Center Bancorp signs outsourcing contract with Compushare and PHH Mortgage 
Center Bancorp has outsourced its IT infrastructure and business process services to Compushare. It has outsourced mortgage origination and servicing operations to PHH Mortgage. The terms of the contract were not disclosed. 
    
Interra plans to set up a KPO  
Interra Information Technologies is finalising plans to start a KPO in India. The location is likely to be Hyderabad. The company offers system integration services and intends to enter the KPO sector. 
    
Nalanda India acquires 5.25% stake in WNS 
Nalanda India has bought 2.2 million shares of WNS comprising a 5.25% stake. The estimated value of the purchase is $32 m - $34 m. WNS Q3 2007 profits were $5.5 m on revenues of $115.6 m. 
    
Apollo HealthStreet to enter capital market  
Apollo HealthStreet plans enter the capital market via an IPO of 6.5 m equity shares at $0.25 (INR 10) each. The cash price will be fixed through a 100% book-building process. The issue will comprise 20.63% of the post issue paid-up capital of Apollo. The equity shares will be listed on BSE and NSE. 
    
Prudential signs BPO contract with Capita  
Prudential has signed a BPO contract worth $1485 m with Capita. As per the deal around 3000 Prudential employees will move to Capita. The contract is valid for a 15-year term and involves offering life and pension sales and administration services.
