WNS enters into JV with Advanced Contact Solutions WNS has entered into a joint venture with Advanced Contact Solutions. The JV will offer contact centre services to clients across industries from the Manila delivery centre. The center will initially have 200 seats. Spanco's Singapore BPO to commence operations from second week of April Spanco Telesystems has set up a back office service and BPO unit in Singapore. The 100-seater Singapore unit will handle inbound calls for Singapore Flyer and Formula One and will commence operations from second week of April. Accenture signs contract with New York's Department of IT and Telecommunications Accenture has entered an agreement with the New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications to offer business processing and technology support for the city's Health and Human Services Connect program. The contract worth $79.6 m is valid for a three-year tenure. Prithvi Information wins contract from BSNL and Huawei Prithvi Information Solutions has won $3 m contract from BSNL and Huawei for providing telecom-engineering services. The contract includes project management, engineering works, planning, deployment and optimization. Adventity to enter capital market in Q3 FY 2010 Adventity has finalized its expansion plans and intends to raise funds through the capital market in Q3 FY 2010. The plans include investing $2.5 m to open centers in two Tier II cities in the next 8-12 months. The company also intends to increase its headcount to 8,000 from the current 4,000 in the next one-year. TCS enters into a multi year contract with Chrysler TCS has entered into a multi year contract to offer IT services to Chrysler. As per the contract, TCS will provide IT application and maintenance support devices. Accenture adds BPO to its service portfolio in Cebu Accenture has expanded its operations in Cebu. It will now provide BPO services along with application management and systems development services. The Accenture Customer Contact BPO Service in Cebu began operations in the first week of April. The company plans to add 500 seats to the Cebu unit. WNS acquires Call 24/7 Ltd WNS has acquired UK based Call 24/7 Ltd, which offers claims-processing services. As per the contract, WNS will pay £8 m in cash at the deal closure and a contingent earn-out of around £1.6 m in cash in 2009 depending upon the performance of the year ending 31 March 2009. The unit will be integrated with WNS Assistance. Manpower to acquire RPO firm CRI Inc Manpower will acquire Los Angeles based CRI Inc, a provider of RPO services. CRI will function within Manpower's North American business solutions unit. The company had acquired placement firm, Vitae, which operates in 10 cities in the Netherlands in March 2008.
