HP gets BPO contract from Tribune Publishing
HP has won a BPO contract from Tribune Publishing, a subsidiary of Tribune Company. The seven-year contract involves offering financial services like cash application, credit, collections and customer service to the Tribune's advertisers. 
   
Harvard Pilgrim extends IT and BPO contract with Perot Systems 
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care and Perot Systems Corporation have extended their IT and BPO contract till 2021. As per the contract Perot Systems will manage and support Harvard Pilgrim's IT infrastructure, administrative business operations and business applications.  
    
Satyam BPO optimistic on the energy and utility sectors 
Satyam BPO is looking for partnership in the energy and utility sectors. The company is in discussion with three to four firms. The company envisages contracts that will be complimentary to their service offerings in the energy and utility segment.  
    
Spanco Telesystems plans to expand to China and Malaysia 
Spanco intends to set up a 400-seater unit in Malaysia in the coming six months and a 500-seater unit in China by end of financial year 2008. The company plans to increase its global capacity to 15000 seats in the coming two years.  
    
American Express ends outsourcing Australian calls to India 
American Express has added more than 80 jobs in Melbourne and 70 jobs in Newcastle. The company will service Australian calls locally. It would not cut jobs in India or Manila.  
    
John Keells Holdings acquires stake in Quattro  
John Keells Holdings (JKH), a SriLanka based conglomerate has acquired 44% stake in Quatrro Finance and Accounting Solutions for $5.72 million. JKH had partnered with Quatrro in 2006, to build its business in Sri Lanka.
