Clifford Chance, the world’s largest law firm chooses to offshore! This news came as a huge surprise and law firms the world over (especially in the UK) took notice. Clifford Chance, the world’s largest law firm started offshoring some of its word-processing functions to Integreon two years ago. Recently, the law firm signed on Integreon to offer a variety of support services. While the size of the deal remains undisclosed, Integreon has set up a 300-seat facility in New Delhi dedicated to Clifford Chance. Integreon will act as a back office for the law firm and will also offer accounting and IT services.

While this cannot be classified as a large deal compared to other BPO services, it is a significant and noteworthy deal in the Indian LPO space. In addition, the Clifford Chance deal has changed the outlook of buyers towards offshoring. Moreover, most Indian vendors who have been primarily US focused, are eyeing UK as a potentially attractive market.
