Genpact opens new facility in Mexico
Genpact has opened a new facility in Mexico increasing its existing capacity two-fold. The new facility is the outcome of the enthusiastic response of North American and worldwide clients. With this, the Company will be able to expand into Latin American regions.  
    
NXP, Capgemini in Finance & Accounting deal
NXP Semiconductors and Capgemini have signed a five-year end-to-end Finance & Accounting services contract. The deal is in line with the latter's BPO Version 3 the world over. From October, 110 qualified personnel will start work at Capgemini's BPO centre in Chennai. The deal also covers Record-to-Report and Procure-to-Pay services.  
    
Usha Martin acquires Converso Contact
Usha Martin Group has bought Converso Contact Centers to speed up BPO processes in India. The acquisition will create 1,400 new jobs in South Africa and India and enhance billing, end-to-end customer care and back office services.
    
EXL keen on acquisitions in Eastern Europe  
EXLService intends to set up multi-lingual capability. It is keen on acquisitions in Eastern Europe. Offering services in German, French, Spanish and Italian is part of the company's plan to make this region the centre for clients needing finance & accounting services.  
    
IBM, Scotiabank in a $480-million IT outsourcing deal  
Under a deal worth more than $480 million, IBM would be managing Scotiabank's information-technology activities, its branches, data centers and automatic banking machines. The two firms will thus extend the deal they signed in 2001. IBM will also be opening a centre in Brazil to provide services to Scotiabank in the near future.  
    
ACS plans to acquire BPO firms in India  
ACS is ready to spend $2 billion for inorganic expansion the world over. Half of the investment would be to acquire specialty BPO firms and systems integration companies in India in the coming three years.
    
HP Germany to provide HR applications to BP under five-yr deal  
HP Germany has won a five-year BPO deal from BP Germany to manage HR applications of the 20,000 plus staff. HP will offer administrative works, like payroll processing, training and travel cost management.
Infinit-O expands its Mortgage service offerings  
Infinit-O is increasing its Mortgage Loans Processing Outsource services to assist mortgage firms in the present situation of the US mortgage industry. The firm is optimistic about building new relationships even in the current turmoil.
    
Genpact to another BPO centre with 500 people in Cluj  
Genpact plans to open its second BPO centre in Romania in October. The company is hiring 500 employees for its Cluj headquarters to be located at the Olimpia Business Center.  
    
Mindteck India to invest $5 million in its subsidiary  
Mindteck India contemplates investing $5 million in its subsidiary Mindteck BPO Services. With this, the complete share of Mindteck Singapore, Mindteck UK, Chendle Holdings and ICI Tech Holdings will be owned by the BPO subsidiary.
