Credit Suisse now has KPO in Pune
Credit Suisse will now have a KPO center in Pune. It will initially have 50 employees dealing with the company's equities business and client centricity. Credit Suisse also has an 800-seater BPO at Wipro's campus to which it will be adding a 1,400-seater facility.  
    
RSM to offer corporate taxation service in the US
RSM McGladrey FPO plans to increase staff from current 440 to 1,000 by 2007-end at its Indian offshore center, which will offer corporate taxation service in the United States. The company plans for a new facility in Coimbatore or Pune.  
    
Philips Innovation Campus at Bangolore makes contribution to its global product line
Philips Innovation Campus (PIC) has for the first time developed software for a pre-clinical product in Bangalore. It will enhance precision and reduce time for development and research of new drug discovery.  
    
Infosys reports rise in revenues despite rupee appreciation  
Infosys' reports QoQ increase of 8.8% in consolidated revenues of $1 billion for Q2 in fiscal 2008. Net revenue saw a sequential rise of 1.9%. Despite rupee appreciation, the company increased operating margins from 28.8% in Q1 to 31.3% in Q2 primarily due to scale benefits, lower visa costs and better billing rates.  
    
MeritTrac gives fresh graduates opportunities by TracSkills National Employability Test  
MeritTrac attempts to provide opportunities to fresh graduates in India based on their capabilities through TracSkills National Employability Test in 11 cities. This project is supported by some of the leading BPOs in India. Candidates' weak and strong areas will be assessed. Successful candidates will be short listed by BPOs based on their requirements.  
    
eClerx files for an IPO  
eClerx Services has filed for an IPO with SEBI to raise $25.6 million from capital market. This involves fresh issue of shares and a bid for sale from the promoters and investors. The company will put aside $6 million of the capital raised for acquisitions. The proceeds from the IPO will help the company to build a new facility in Pune.  
    
eTelecare to increase its headcount by 1000  
Following eTelecare's acquisition of AOL's customer service subsidiary located in Clark, Pampanga, 1,000 employees would be added. This would give the company control on AOL's captive market and ability to offer non-voice support.
