Aegis to buy TeleTech
Aegis BPO, owned by Essar Group is acquiring TeleTech Services, (JV between TeleTech Europe and Bharti Ventures) for $13 million in cash. The acquisition brings Bharti-Airtel into the Aegis's client portfolio, which also consists of Tata Teleservices and Vodafone.  
    
RPOworldwide named among Top RPO services providers
RPOworldwide, provider of offshore RPO services has been ranked second out of 120 RPO services vendors in Brown & Wilson's "The Black Book of Outsourcing".  
    
WNS reorganizes utilities and logistics
As part of a reorganization exercise, WNS will create a new division that will consist of utilities, logistics, pharma and other customer-centric industries. This is likely to be headed by another CEO.  
    
EXL to invest in Philippines  
Exl Service Holdings plans to invest $12 million in a facility in Philippines. The company has acquired 80,000 sq ft for an 800-seat facility, which is to become be operational by mid-2008.  
    
BPOs head to rural areas  
Satyam has three centers in the villages of Andhra Pradesh and plans to open ten more by the end of 2008. Datamation, another BPO also plans to open 15 centers across rural areas by next year.  
    
BPO Management Services enters contract with XyberNET  
BPO Management Services Inc., a BPO focused on serving middle market enterprises has signed a three-year agreement with XyberNET. The deal involves hosting and managing XyberNET's IT infrastructure and a support center.
    
ACS sign extended billing contract from City of Houston
Affiliated Computer Services (ACS) has entered a 7-year contract extension valued at $35 million with the City of Houston, Texas for emergency medical services (EMS) billing services.  
    
TeleTech in an extended deal  
TeleTech Holdings has extended and expanded its agreement with a leading provider of wireless voice and data, broadband Internet services. The multiyear, $40 mn agreement involves serving the client from centers in Europe and Latin America.
