Intelenet acquires Upstream and Travelport for $75 m Intelenet Global Services has bought Upstream and Travelport ISO for $75 m. With the acquisitions, Intelenet expects to add approx. $76 m to its revenues and 2,400 employees to its strength in the current fiscal. AMD opens R&D center in Bangalore AMD has opened a new silicon design and platform R&D centre in Bangalore. The unit will be able to provide clients industry-leading solutions suited to their specific needs. Capita wins deal worth $1.5 b with Prudential Capita Group has won a 15-year $1.5 b outsourcing deal with Prudential UK. The company will also obtain assets and business worth $51 m from Prudential and Prudential's offshore centre business. Sapient opens a KPO division in Bangalore Sapient has opened a KPO division in Bangalore that will cater to the capital markets. The center will provide equity research to the companies in the Wall Street. IPVG plans to buy a majority stake in PeopleSupport IPVG Corp. is looking to acquire a majority stake in PeopleSupport, a leading call center with over 8,000 seats. IPVG is planning a special purpose vehicle to aid its acquisition plans. RR Donnelley to set up Global Outsourcing center in Chennai RR Donnelley plans to establish its latest global outsourcing facility in Chennai. The center will be built on 55,000 square feet at the Acropolis Building in Chennai. 3i Infotech buys Linear Financial 3i Infotech has bought majority stake in Linear Financial & Management Systems, which functions under the brand name 'Factoring House'. The company provides 'Contact Point Verification' for financial institutes and banks. Azure acquires a US-based mortgage broker company Ahmedabad-based BPO Azure Styx Infotech has acquired a 49% stake in US based Citizen Financial Mortgage for around $25 m.
