Some of our research assignments in the recent past include: Evaluation and Benchmarking of vendors in the legal publishing industry – Detailed Study of select offshore vendors in with an assessment of the capabilities in a variety of sub-segments. Pricing patterns / billing rates for specific segments within legal publishing. Benchmarking for an Engineering Design Outsourcing operation - Identification and competitive intelligence on offshore engineering (civil infrastructure) design operations in India. Detailed data on employees, capabilities, nature of work, infrastructure, projects done, future plans, etc. for a dozen unlisted companies operating in this space. Industry Overview and Partner Due Diligence in Medical Transcription – An overview of the offshore medical transcription industry in India, benchmarking of suppliers and due diligence of operations and capabilities of selected vendor. Opportunity Assessment Study - Canada as a near-shore destination - Commissioned by the Canadian government, this was a study of Indian ITES/BPO companies to understand the relative attractiveness of locating BPO centers in Canada. Study to analyze market-size and acceptance for an auditing solutions provider company - To validate whether various Indian centers (captive or third-party) that serve large US corporations, “could open doors” for the client’s company; and assess the “need” for auditing solutions amongst Indian outsourcing vendors. Study of captive units of global banking and financial services organizations - Analysis of BFS captives by size, geography, services provided, etc. Involved primary research (interviews) with executives at the top 100 financial institutions across the world. Cost analysis for a legal outsourcing vendor – Detailed break-down of costs involved in setting up a legal BPO unit in India – under various heads including infrastructure, manpower, regulation, working capital, etc. Competitive assessment of Call Center locations – India, Philippines, Jamaica, South Africa and Mexico – To help a US based call center company assess the relative attractiveness of offshoring locations. The study included manpower availability, quality and costs; English capabilities and issues such as accent neutralization; work culture and other cultural issues; attrition; telecom infrastructure availability and costs, etc. Setting up a captive Offshore operation for a Financial Services firm – Coordination with various agencies (law firms, accountants, consultants, etc.) to enable start-up and ongoing compliance with various local laws and regulations. Researched comparative salaries in the BPO space, developed HR guidelines and provided various other types of support. Comparison of India vs/ China: Telecom Software – Comparison of the relative attractiveness of India and China, as a possible offshore destination for telecom software development and R&D. Identification of potential vendors/partners
