Perot enters Philippines! Perot Systems (NYSE:PER) plans to open a 200-seat facility in Philippines. The facility will cater to the company's US clients in the healthcare domain. The company initially plans to open its center in Metro Manila, which is expected to be operational by January next year and gradually expand outside the city. Infosys BPO eyes Latin America! Infosys BPO (formerly known as Progeon) is looking to explore Latin America. The company is initially planning to set up a 500-seat facility and gradually double the capacity. The Latin American facility will be used to serve the company's US clients. Meanwhile Infosys BPO is also considering setting up onshore centers in US and UK within the next two years. Accenture bags a debt-collection outsourcing contract Accenture (NYSE:ACN) bagged a $54 million outsourcing deal from the US Justice Department. Under the agreement, Accenture will first consolidate the multiple legacy systems and secondly operate and maintain the integrated system. CSC wins a $628 million outsourcing deal CSC (NYSE:CSC) won a $628 million outsourcing contract from the US Air Force. CSC will offer an entire gamut of business and technical transformation services including logistics business process re-design and enterprise resource planning to the US Air Force. ACS to provide electronic health records to State of Missouri Affiliated Computer Services (NYSE: ACS) has expanded its contract to offer electronic health records to the State of Missouri. In addition to other projects, the company will offer electronic health record program for the entire year. Standard Chartered sets up a network center Scope International, the captive outfit of Standard Chartered Bank has established a network center in Chennai.
