Hinduja TMT adds another CRM company Hinduja TMT is set to acquire AFFINA, a US-based customer relationship management company for an undisclosed amount. AFFINA had $60 million revenues last year and operates out of seven centres in the US and Canada. Post-acquisition, Hinduja TMT will have a customer base of over 65 and 9000 employees. Kanbay to add to Capgemini's India presence Capgemini will acquire Kanbay International in a $1.25 billion deal. Chicago-based Kanbay has more than 5000 employees in its development centres in Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai in India. Capgemini aims to consolidate its India presence through the acquisition. The company will pay $29 per share in cash, representing a premium of 15% over Kanbay's stock price. Genpact on hiring spree Genpact has unveiled massive expansion plans targeting second tier cities in India. The company expects to earn $1 billion in revenues and employ 45,000 people by 2008. It aims to hire 12,000 additional employees by the end of 2006. EDS to acquire larger stake in Mphasis EDS, which acquired Indian outsourcing company MphasiS, has announced an open offer to acquire a further stake of 20 percent by paying Rs. 204.5 per share (approximately $4.5), at a total cost of $150 million. Satyam declares Q2 FY07 results IT services provider Satyam announced its second quarter results of $352 million revenues, a 31% growth y-o-y. Satyam hired 4025 employees in the quarter. Nipuna, the BPO subsidiary of Satyam has reported Q2 FY07 earnings of $8.99 million. The subsidiary added 441 new employees and two new clients in this quarter. Related Items: |
