LogicaCMG bags ING's contract

European IT services major, LogicaCMG has completed the final formalities for the outsourcing contract with the Netherlands’s banking major ING. Under the agreement, LogicaCMG will provide outsourcing services that cater to all the issues in IT systems related to the banking operations of ING in the Netherlands.
   
Sutherland to open its third BPO facility in Canada

With the opening up of its third delivery center in Canada, BPO major Sutherland Global Services is all set to expand its global BPO operations. The new center will commence its operations from this month. The company is expected to increase the headcount of the facility to 1,000 within the coming 18 months.   
   
Aegis Communications Group delisted from Nasdaq

In a bid to consolidate its holding, Essar Group has withdrawn its BPO subsidiary Aegis Communications from over-the-counter bulletin board (OTC BB) of Nasdaq. The delisting process had begun in September through the creation of a special purpose vehicle (SPV) called ACG Acquisition. Essar group hopes to strengthen its holdings in all their businesses under the umbrella of “Essar Global”.
    
Another Airline contract!

Indian IT companies, TCS and Satyam won a $145 million seven-year contract from Qantas Airways. While TCS will provide IT application, transformation and maintenance services, Satyam will offer application development and maintenance services for AUD $71 million ($55 million) and AUD $120 Million ($90 million) respectively.
    
ICICI OneSource on expansion mode

ICICI OneSource is looking to expand its business through acquisitions. The company is on the lookout for acquisitions to boost their business volume. Currently, the company has 10 delivery centers globally and is planning to open a new facility in Asia-Pacific region in the coming six months.  
 
New players on the block

Flag Telecom, the wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Communications, will soon be venturing into outsourcing services. The company will provide outsourcing and IP-based managed services to telecom service providers. Mr. Vinay Aggarwal, former CFO of TCS will take the position as Finance head of Flag Telecom.
