R.R.Donnelley on an acquisition spree

Publishing services provider R.R.Donnelley has acquired Banta, a provider of printing, supply chain management and related services in a $1.3 billion cash deal. Banta, which operates out of the US, Europe and Asia earned $1.5 billion in revenues last year. The acquisition will enhance R.R. Donnelley's magazine, catalog, book and direct marketing segment offerings.
   
Aviva to expand Indian BPO operations

Aviva Life Insurance has announced plans to expand its BPO operations in India. The acquisition is part of its strategy to strengthen presence in the fast-growing Indian insurance market. Aviva's BPO operations already employ 7,500 in India   
   
Credit Suisse to set up in India

The Swiss bank Credit Suisse is setting up a unit in Pune which will provide technology support and analytics services. The unit is expected to grow to a strength of 1500 employees over the next few years.
    
Integreon bags contract

Mumbai-based Integreon has bagged £30-40m worth outsourcing deal from a UK-based law firm, Clifford Chance. Integreon plans to open a new 600-seat facility in Mumbai that is expcted to be operational by Jan 2007.
