Fiserv Opens Delivery Center in Pune Fiserv India plans to set up a 1500 seater delivery center in Pune, in addition to the existing three centers in the NCR region employing over 1000 people. Services provided from the new center will include quality assurance testing, BPO and infrastucture services. These services will be offered in several banking and financial services and healthcare domains. RBI Relaxes Norms for Outsourcing As per the new norms from RBI, authorized banks can allow BPO firms to pay for equipment to be imported and installed at overseas location without bringing them to India. However it is mandatory for BPO firms to take approval from the Indian Ministry of Information Technology. Tricom to acquire in the US Tricom India is planning to seal its first US acquisition within next couple of months. The acquisition will be in the area of litigation coding and will be financed through internal accruals and term loans ranging between USD 2-5 million. 3i Infotech buys a 50% stake in BPO 3i Infotech has acquired a 50.5 percent stake in Aok In-house BPO Services and Aok In-house Factoring Services. The financial terms have not been declared. These companies serve various clients across the private and public sector, foreign and insurance sectors. Convergys Corporation wins contract from Johnson and Johnson Convergys Corporation has signed a 10 year contract with Johnson & Johnson Services Inc, for providing HRO services. Under the deal, Convergys will provide HRO services to Johnson & Johnson. This deal it is expected to generate revenues worth up to $1 billion over the contract period for Convergys. Aditya Birla integration Strategy Aditya Birla Nuvo is planning to integrate the two BPO arms - Transworks and Minacs under Aditya Birla Minacs Worldwide. While the operations will be unified, the financials will be accounted separately. McKinsey will help synergize the two BPO operations. The BPO accounts for 12% to Nuvo's revenues; currently, 75% of this comes from CRM and KPO contributes 25% to the BPO revenues. Related Items: |
