Accenture signs outsourcing deal with AIG
 
Accenture has signed a $100 million outsourcing deal with AIG Europe. The 10-year deal involves technology help and back-office services as well as underwriting and claims services for the client from Accenture's Romanian BPO center.
    
Cognizant enters a deal with Kimberley Clark
 
Cognizant has entered a five-year IT outsourcing deal with Kimberley-Clark. Cognizant will provide infrastructure support for the client's centers in US, Europe, South America and Asia-Pacific.
    
Vertex picked up by private equity firms
 
OakHill Capital partners along with other US-based private equity firms have bought Vertex BPO for $426 million. Vertex is a subsidiary of United Utilities and has over 1600 employees in its India centers.  
    
Adventity get $20 million funding from Norwest

Adventity has secured a $20 million funding from Norwest Venture Partners (NVP). Adventity is primarily focused on financial research, analytics, investment banking as well as mortgage BPO services and operations in Mumbai, US and UK.
    
UnitedLex - Offshore center launched

UnitedLex, US-based LPO has set up its Indian center in Gurgaon. Funded by Helion Venture and with a current strength of 50, the company plans to grow to 500 employees within next three years.
