Genpact sets up center at Jaipur...
Genpact set up its tenth global operations centre at Jaipur. The centre was set up with an investment of Rs. 750 million and has a seating capacity of 1,300. The center will offer services to customers across UK, US, Australia and other European countries.
 
... also expands in China

Genpact has also announced its plan to launch its second operations center in Changchun, China. The first center is located in Dalian. The company with employee strength of 1,750 in the country has already added 76 employees for the new center. At the end of the I phase the company will be able to seat 640 while the end of the second phase, its capacity will go up to 1440.
 
Siemens hiring in India

Siemens plans to recruit over 1,00 employees over the next three years for its high-end BPO operations. This division will cater to telecom companies and integrated service providers. The company will commence operations with 35-40 employees at a 40,000-sq ft space in Bangalore. The company has indicated of plans to expand further in Kolkata, New Delhi and Chennai.
 
Accenture acquires NaviSys...

Accenture has acquired NaviSys, a US-based life insurance software and service provider. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. NaviSys has more than 50 clients in the insurance industry globally, and has a comprehensive technology platform performing front and back-office functions.

Accenture has also announced plans to start a new delivery centre in Japan, to cater to application development and systems integration services for Japanese clients. The center is expected to be functional by November this year and will hire about 200 professionals in the next three years.
 
Prudential in BPO contract with Capita

UK-based financial services group Prudential has awarded a three-year $40 million contract to BPO services provider Capita. About 450 employees of Prudential will be transferred to Capita, which will provide sales and administration services for life and pensions to Prudential.
