Laserwords acquires Four Lakes Colorgraphics for $11 million
 
Murugappa group company Laserwords has obtained US-based Four Lakes Colorgraphics for about $11 million. Four Lakes will become a division of Laserwords, but without any change in the management. Four Lakes is a full service premedia company that offers project management, design and editorial services and has two centers in Wisconsin and New York City. Laserwords will have over 1,000 employees post acquisition.  
    
Wipro will set up BPO centers at Shanghai and Chengdu in China
 
Wipro is setting up two BPO centers in China at Shanghai and Chengdu by next month to provide finance and accounting services. The company intends to have a clientele of 10 - 15 customers in China. Another unit in the US will be opened later. Wipro BPO is also planning a centre in Brazil.  
    
Infosys to soon start BPO facility in Mexico
 
Infosys Technologies plans to open its first Latin American BPO facility in Mexico. The 200-seater will soon start BPO operations and will later go on to other services as well. The company wants to start such units in other countries too.  
    
Apollo Hospitals to take over medical BPO in the US  

Apollo Hospitals plans to spread out in new spaces like offering medical facilities, medical solutions and much more through Internet to global hospitals. Sources say the company is soon going to take over an Atlanta based medical BPO for an estimated $180 million.  
    
BNY Mellon Asset Servicing extends outsourcing deal with TCW Group  

BNY Mellon Asset Servicing has extended its outsourcing agreement with the TCW Group of Los Angeles for another five years. Under the agreement, BNY Mellon Asset Servicing will provide back office support to TCW's investment operations.
    
Prudential looking for buyers for its BPO operations in India  

UK-based Prudential PLC is seeking opportunities to sell its BPO operations in India. The company has started talks with investment bankers to strike a possible deal. Prudential's captive center is located in Mumbai with manpower strength of 1,800 people.
